Cyprus

A small part of Asia, within European borders.

In the spring of 2015 & 2016, I was able to enjoy the beautiful island of Cyprus during two 15-day holidays there.
What a special island and what a beautiful nature.
During the many walks we had, I also managed to capture several insects and more nature things on camera.

Since the main goal of Macro Wereld concerns Dutch nature, I did not want to mix my Cypriot observations with this, but share

it with you on a separate page.

During both holidays our base was the village of Tochni, located in land in the Larnaca district and approximately halfway between the cities of Larnaca and Limassol.

I would like to present my photos, divided as much as possible over the different areas we visited, somewhat in the format of

a photo safari page.

This way I can also show some photos of this gem in the Mediterranean.

Below is an overview of a number of places I visited and some insect species.
