White-tailed Eagle

White-tailed Eagle

A long cherished wish, a photo series of the White-tailed Eagle.

I had a long cherished the wish, to make a nice series of photos of the White-tailed Eagle, a beautiful bird of prey that appeals to the imagination.

Fortunately, more and more are flying around in the Netherlands these days and there are also various breeding pairs that produce the necessary young.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get one eagle right in front of the lens so far. Some blurry images and some dark silhouettes, but so far that's it.

In autumn 2018, plans were made for a holiday to Scotland and during the preparations for this trip I noticed the possibility to make an Eagle Safari by boat at a number of locations.

On Friday 7 June 2019, I spent an afternoon on a boat from Mull Charters and I was able to take some spectacular photos of the White-tailed Eagle during a trip over Loch na Keal on the Isle of Mull, Scotland.

I want to share some of those photos with you on this page.

Below a number of pictures of the White-tailed Eagles at Loch na Keal, Scotland:
